Drumstick Soup | முருங்கைகீரை சூப் | Drumstick leaves Soup

Murungaikeerai soup recipe is such a simple to make and packed with lot of health benefits. It is protein-rich and iron-rich soup. Perfect diet soup too as it is made without adding oil.

Ingredients

Drumstick Leaves - 100 Grams
Tomato - 1 No
Shallots - 3 Nos
Garlic - 2 Pods
Turmeric Powder - 1/4 Teaspoon
Cumin Seeds - 2 Teaspoons
Pepper Powder - 1 Teaspoon
Toor Dhal Stock - 1 Cup
Salt - To Taste

Method

Add drumstick leaves along with the stalks in a kadai.
To that add dhal stock, 2 cups of water
Add chopped tomatoes,onion,garlic,cumin seeds and turmeric powder.
Mix well.
Let it cook for 10 minutes.
Add required salt and cook it again for a minute
Strain the soup in a strainer.
Add pepper powder and serve hot.
