Ingredients
Sooji / Ravai / Semolina - 1 Cup
Maida / All Purpose flour - 1 Cup
Sugar - 1 Cup
Cardamom Powder - 1/4 Teaspoon
Baking Soda - A Pinch
Oil - For Frying
Method
Take sooji in a bowl and add water just sufficient enough to wet the sooji. Leave it aside for 20 minutes.
After 20 minutes, add maida,sugar and mix well.
Add water little by little and bring it to a consistency of idly batter.
Add cardamom powder, baking soda and mix well.
Heat a kadai and add oil for frying.
When the oil is hot, take a laddle full of batter and pour it in a hot oil. Reduce the heat to medium.
Wait till one side get cooked.
Turn it over to the other side and cook till it changes into light golden brown colour.
Transfer it a plate.
Repeat the same process and make paniyaram with all the batter.
Serve hot.
