Vazhaithandu is cooked in many different ways. The most common vazhaithanu recipes are vazhaithandu poriyal, kootu, vazhaithandu juice, pachadi and also vazhaithandu is added to sambar as well. Cleaning bananastem is little tricky and the process of cutting is quite different from other vegetables. It is very important to remove the fibres from the vazhaithandu while cutting.
