This vendaya puli kuzhambu is so easy to make and this methi gravy can be served with idly, dosa or rice. When serving this vengaya puli kuzhambu with rice add a spoon of gingely oil for additional taste. vendhayam also known as fenugreek seeds has got lot of health benefits. It helps to cool down our body and it also helps to keep the blood sugar level in control.

Ingredients

Shallots / Small Onions  - 12 Nos
Tomato - 1 No (Grind in to paste)
Thick Tamarind Extract -  1 Tablespoon
Turmeric Powder - 1/2 Teaspoon
Chilli Powder - 2 Teaspoons
Coriander Powder - 5 Teaspoons
Salt - To taste
Gingely oil/ sesame oil - 3 Tablespoons

To dry roast and powder

Rice - 3 Teaspoons
Fenugreek seeds - 2 Teaspoons
Asafoetida/ Hing - 1 Teaspoon

For Tempering

Cumin seeds - 1/2 Teaspoon
Mustard Seeds - 1 Teaspoon
Urad Dhal -  1 Teaspoon
